Orkut, the brain network of Google has been infected by virus, once again. This virus hacks the profile of users and sends normal ‘Bom Sabado’ scraps without any HTML codes. ‘Bom Sabado’ actually means “Good Saturday”. Its actually Portuguese in origin.
Till now, Google has not commented on anything regarding the virus. Also, many things remain unconfirmed about virus such as if virus is dangerous or not, and if infected profile will be hacked forever?
However, virus is only posting ‘Bom Sabado’ through infected profiles, and chains is rapidly expanding throughout the Orkut. ‘Bom Sabado’ is categorized as XSS attack, a similar virus affected Twitter recently.
If you found ‘Bom Sabado’ scrap then try not to open that scrap or if you had mistakenly opened the scrap then change your password as soon as possible. Because this scrap has potential of hacking your profile which cannot be denied. And also, delete history and cookies of your browser, so, that this virus won’t have slightest chance of being problematic.
Moreover, Orkut users are also advised to not to sign in, until Orkut makes a comment or take appropriate action to quarantine the virus. Though panic button is yet to be pressed by Orkut, but it has been hours that Orkut has not commented, that means virus could be a mischief without any harmful intention. Well, do keep in mind prevention is better than cure, so waiting is recommended.
