Recently AVG, the Global Security Company, conducted a new marketing research based on children in the UK. According to their reports it is revealed that children in the UK spend more time being online, engage in social networking sites other than their Friends in other countries worldwide.
British Children aged between the range of six and nine years are on sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Bebo, and MySpace for nearly two to four hours a week. This rate of being online is far more than other nine countries surveyed including the US, Germany, and Japan. As a result, British children are also bearing the second-most risk factor of being a victim of cyber-bullying. AVG says that every one out of five said they had experienced unpleasant or aggressive behavior online. This study revealed that UK was only second to Spain, where 25 percent of children has experienced some forms of cyber-bullying.
