The announcement of this sudden change in the premier logo is expected to be made in the brand’s Facebook page. Marka Hansen, GAP North America president, had informed the company’s marketing department that the change, was a mistake in their product line and that the company would revert back to their old logo. Furthermore, they would be tabling any changes for the near future. The logo, was initially designed and created by New York agency Laird & Partners, it was intended to be a long-term commitment for the brand name GAP with a positive nod to the near future. The new logo has thus received numerous brickbats from top management, critics and fans alike.
