SEO Traffic is the direct result of Google's SEO power to generate Search Engine Traffic for any particular keyword(s). For this year, Google's primary objectives of a better online world has changed the way Google Search Engine Spiders used to behave. Google PageRank Update

Google updates it's Pagerank database generally once in every three months. You will know about this, if you are a blogger or a webmaster! The primary importance of Google PageRank Update or better to say Google PR, is practically huge! It is the main reason behind the ranking of your site's results in Google's Search Engine Results Page or SERPs. This means that sites with higher and better Google PageRank come on the top of search result pages and thus get maximum concentration of organic traffic juice from Google.

Google PageRank has a range from 0-10. A site with PageRank 0[Zero] is off least importance in Google's eyes, while the site with PageRank 10 is the most important. Google PageRank, usually increases with certain factors that guide the development of the Google indexing service.
 
In the year 2010, Google had an approximate PageRank Update schedule as follows:

First PageRank Update 31st March – 30th April(Already Done)
Second PageRank Update 31st June – 30th July(Already Done)
Third PageRank Update 31st September – 30th October(Already Done)
Fourth PageRank Update 31st December – 31st January 2012(Already Done)

According to Google PageRank Update - The First PageRank Update took place on 02 April, 2010.

Important SEO Factors for SEO Image Optimization

Images are important SEO factors that can determine the amount of traffic you can get from Google Images alone. Let's quickly learn about what they are -

  • Getting Images Indexed by Robots -

    The most important seo factor before we move on to other seo image points. Restricting your images folder from getting indexed by the search engine robots will prevent you from taking advantage of this seo traffic technique. The best place to add image links is manually adding them in the xml sitemap.

  • Using Alt Text in Images -

    When we upload images to our blogs, we must create an alternate text for it. Alternative text can be entered in the 'Alt' Field. Since search engines cannot determine what image you have uploaded, using Alt Text in images tells them what it's about.

  • Size of the Image -

    According to many SEO experts, the size of the image matters upon the image location. An image size of 300x200 in a post area is fine but having that image in the footer can create degradation in seo ranking. The general opinion is that you should use images that are of appropriate size, that is, neither too big nor too small. Google has enhanced their imaging algorithm to determine whether an image is appropriate to be displayed in a blog.

  • Permalinks of Images -

    By default, if you don't change your permalink structure, then you might have irrelevant urls for images. For example - example.com/showitem.php?category=22&item=51 which obviously don't look good. So, it's best to create seo image urls in this format - example.com/tech/hardware/sony-ericsson.jpg
